At home hydroponics
Recently, I ordered an at home hydroponic garden. This new addition to my deck has allowed me to not only grow veggies and fruits quickly, but also save water doing it. Although many may not think of this new way to grow yummy foods, it has definitely made me feel better about gardening. Let's just say it turned my hobby into one that benefits me AND our planet. Not only do they save water, but hydroponics also produce a greater yield of crops because they are densely placed together in a hydroponic system. If these crops were grown on land, they would need much more space to thrive. Additionally, hydroponics eliminate the weed growth problem. This benefits the environment because it means eliminating the use of herbicides which contributes to air pollution and soil contamination.
